2018-7-12  Re: Rotary mowed Bermuda. If you level your lawn with top dressing and keep it smooth, you can have a manicured look by cutting at 2” or below. The key is keeping it smooth like you would for a reel and also mowing it frequently enough to keep up with the lower height of cut. I cut around 20k at 1.5” with my Exmark zero turn.

Mower for 6 to 7 acres Page 3 Lawn Mower Forum

2018-6-5  So we just got a new property that will need to have 6 to 7 acres of bermuda mowed. Lots of trees, I mean like well over 100, most have really large mulch circles around them. Right now I live on 3 acres, most of which has fescue and I mow that with a Freedom Z 54 inch. I'm guessing I'm going to need something much larger for the new property.

2013-11-18  You can use a rotary on any thing. The amount of scalp marks will be much higher when going low. Also, the toughness of tightly grown bermuda is a bit much for most rotary. They won't bog as much as they just push the growth down. You won't get nearly as clean of a cut per individual grass blade either.

2013-5-15  I have Celebration Bermuda and serveral people in my neighborhood have Tif419. I think he mistaken or misstated the leaf size. Sod sod sites show Tif to be 1.7-2.0mm and Celebration to be 2.8-3.0mm for the leaf blade sizes. Tif yards in my neighborhood look finer than my celebration does.
